Salvatore Barone

Sal is the managing partner of the firm’s New Jersey office. He manages claims for domestic and international insurers in the areas of employment practices liability, cyber/tech liability, lawyers’ liability, securities broker-dealer E&O, staffing service agencies E&O, and general liability insurance. The claims often involve complex litigation at both the state and federal levels. In connection with the management of these claims, Sal prepares comprehensive coverage opinions; assesses potential exposure and determines appropriate reserves; communicates with both policyholders and defense counsel regarding claims resolution strategy and risk management issues; and participates in mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings on behalf of insurers. Sal also has experience defending businesses and property owners in personal injury litigation in the courts of New York and New Jersey.
