Stefania Lessen

Stefania represents the interests of U.S. and internationally-based primary insurers in the areas of cyber liability, medical billing professional liability, and directors and officers liability. Stefania’s practice includes managing first party claims, third party claims, and regulatory investigations from inception to end; the monitoring of underlying litigation and incidents; risk assessment; providing coverage analyses; coordinating defense and breach counsel, outside vendors, and other professionals in developing defense, resolution and loss containment strategies, including responding to cyber breaches; and negotiating and achieving resolution of claims.
In law school, Stefania was a Pro Bono Scholar and sat for the February 2023 New York State Bar Exam in her last semester of law school prior to graduation. After sitting for the bar exam, Stefania completed over 525 Pro Bono Service hours with Legal Services of the Hudson Valley in Yonkers where she assisted counsel representing low-income persons regarding housing issues. During law school, Stefania also interned with Ernst & Young in their cyber practice. As well, Stefania was on her law school’s Law Review Board as an Articles Editor, where she managed junior associates and edited scholarly legal articles.
